The 2011 Sears Heroes at Home Wish Registry is open to U.S. Military currently on active duty.
If you already registered for the 2011 Sears Heroes at Home Wish Registry, Sears has announced you’ll need to register again. This also means if you missed the registration window you now have a second chance.
The registry re-opens on Saturday, September 3, 2011 at 1 pm CST.
Thank you for your interest in the Sears Heroes at Home Wish Registry. A number of you have expressed concerns over problems that were encountered with the registration process, which impacted some people’s ability to register. Given the sacrifices that all of our military heroes and their families make, it’s particularly important that everyone have an equal opportunity to register.
Accordingly, a new registration process will be conducted on Saturday, September 3, 2011 at 1pm CST. PLEASE NOTE: All prior applications will be discarded. If you were able to submit a registry application yesterday, you must re-apply during the new registration time period in ordered to be considered for the registry.
At the dedicated time, Sears will post a REGISTRATION link on the Sears Heroes at Home website, where active military members, Guard and Reservists and their families who comply with program guidelines can sign up for the program. Registration will again be on a first-come, first-serve basis and will close once the maximum number of 20,000 applicants is reached.
We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused but want things to be fair for all families. Sears appreciates all the sacrifices that our military members and their families make for our country and we wish them all a wonderful holiday season.
In our 2010 blog post on the Heroes at Home Wish Registry we highlighted, “The Sears Heroes at Home Wish Registry offers America the chance to say “Thank You” and ensure military families have more of the Christmas they deserve. In 2009, over 20,000 military families participated in the Sears Heroes at Home Wish Registry program and received more than $6.7 million in gift card donations from the Sears community.”
So, SET YOUR ALARM if you or your spouse is active duty and be standing by your computer this Saturday, 3 September at 1pm CST to register! Reminder: Registration is on a first come, first serve basis.
On a personal note, I love Sears! We shop there for tools, house items and even purchased our exercise bike at Sears. Thank you Sears for this wonderful program, giving generous Americans a way to support the troops! Just one more reason to LOVE and SHOP at Sears!
Note: I have to say the “Registration” link was very elusive and hard to find last week. Here are three links we are currently aware of for information. As we learn information we will post updates to this post.
