OPSEC stuff: Please no discussion of unit / ship / boat movements, dates, command names, port calls, destinations, mail drops, homecomings, peoples names in connection with the command, no spreading rumors, no causing hate and discontent. Basically, if you wouldn’t post it on your front door…don’t post it here.
In regards to OPSEC, our posts may not always be in “present time”. Example: If we are writing a blog about deployment, that does not mean our husband is deployed. If we write about a current situation such as dry dock, shift work, refit, we will wait to post these. We never write about the boats condition or status. If you read a post on this, it has been written at an earlier date and we have waited to post so that we do not give the location of a boat at any given time. We want to keep our husbands and your husbands SAFE!!
Our Stuff: We are not experts, just wives. Any advice given is the authors point of view only and does not represent official Navy or DoD policy. We are not licensed social workers, therapists or doctors, so seek therapy from a qualified professional if necessary. We retain the right of refusal when it comes to adding “friends” to our Facebook/Twitter pages, Ning social network and when it comes to posting comments, oh and adding sites to our blogroll.
